Hello everyone, My name is Stephanie Ahlm. I am a junior at Buhl High School and I am 16 years old. Besides Key Club, I am involved in Business Professionals of America, Spanish Club, Ambassadors, and I am the Junior Council Person for the City of Buhl. The Ambassadors Club at Buhl High School is a program where high school students are paired with elementary students who want or need a positive role model. As the Junior Council Person of the City of Buhl, I sit in on the City Council meetings every month and offer keep the city up-to-date on what Buhl High School is doing. There are five people in my family: my father Kevin, mother Lora, brother Brodie, brother Chris, and myself. Kevin is the service manager for the Wills Toyota Motor Corporation, Lora is a full-time childcare provider, Brodie is 23 and he is working at Idaho Sand and Gravel, and Chris is 20 and he works as a transporter at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center. I am very excited, besides for Key Club, for the arrival of my first nephew. Brodie and Melissa are expecting the arrival of their son on September 12, 2006. I will get to experience what it is like to be an aunt. Other unofficial members of my family are my beloved cats Simba and Jordy. Simba is a handsome, loving cat that always sleeps at the end of my bed, and Jordy is a cute, but very high strung cat. I am currently employed at the Wills Toyota Motor Corporation with my father and I am also playing softball in two different co-ed softball leagues. I love to play softball and volleyball during the school year and the summer, but during the summer my favorite activity is riding my motorcycle. As with any other teenager, I love to hang out with my friends, go to movies, dance and sing whenever there is music, and spend quality time with my family. I have been involved in Key Club for the past two years and this will be my third year. During my freshman year I was a regular member of Buhl High School Key Club, then as a sophomore I served as Lieutenant Governor for Division 5 on the Utah-Idaho Key Club District Board, and this year I am the 2006-2007 Governor for the Utah-Idaho Key Club District. Key Club International is an amazing student-led organization which offers unbelievable experiences to high school students all around the world. Through Key Club, I have been able to travel to Atlanta, Georgia, Indianapolis, Indiana, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Denver, Colorado, and Boston, Massachusetts. As governor this year, I attended the Governors’ and Administrators Training Conference (GATC) in Indianapolis, Indiana from May 4 through May 6. At GATC, I learned what responsibilities I have as governor, and how I am supposed to serve the district. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. Projects for the Utah-Idaho Key Club District this year include Building Relationships as the District Project, Trick or Treat for UNICEF, March of Dimes (MOD), Read and Lead, Children’s’ Miracle Network (CMN), and much more. Building Relationships is a project that will help build a connection between members of all communities and between all generations. It will be a great way to unite everyone in our states and in our Key Clubs. Trick or Treat for UNICEF, MOD, Read and Lead, and CMN are programs, which are also the four seasons of service, which are actually known around the world. The Utah-Idaho Key Club District is already off to an amazing start and on to adventures and experiences of a lifetime. I cannot wait to see the surprises that will occur throughout the year and I am prepared to handle whatever comes my way with the help of every fantastic member of our district’s board.
Thank you, 2006-2007 Utah-Idaho Key Club District Governor Stephanie M. Ahlm |

The Utah– Idaho District is organized by a District Board, then high school clubs and individual Key Clubbers. The district board is headed by a Governor and then executive board members which are Secretary, Treasurer, and Webmaster. The other board members are Lieutenant Governors. Lieutenant Governors govern over the Divisions in the District. |
